Optima Servicios Financieros SA de CV (Optima) was founded in 2009 and was one of the first institutions in the fund’s portfolio. Since taking over the local subsidiary of FINCA in 2015, it has established itself as one of the most important MFIs in El Salvador. The institution relies on individual products that are tailored to the respective needs through close, personal relationships with its customers. Optima has gained a foothold in the country’s most important cities and is represented nationwide with 12 branches, which serve almost 8,000 customers. Since its inception, the institution has doubled its loan portfolio annually. The loands granted by Optima are primarily used for working capital and housing purposes.
