Fundación ESPOIR operates in 6 regions in Ecuador. The institution can be considered as a high impact MFI as the focus is on low-income groups within the population and it offers financial and educational services to its clients. Accordingly, the majority of the loan portfolio consists of loans to women and and/or to rural areas. The company’s goal is to improve the economic and social situation of entrepreneurs in Ecuador in the area it operates in.
