Chongho Bridge Management Limited is a Beijing-based microfinance institution that provides financial services, with a focus on microcredit, to low- and middle-income groups in rural areas. The customers are otherwise hardly provided with financial services, or in some cases not at all. This shows how important financial inclusion is to Chongho Bridge. The loan portfolio amounts to around EUR 980 million. The business activities cover 21 provinces and 271 counties. A total of 371 branches are operated. The local presence of the Chongho Bridge Group is thus clearly focused outside the capital. The GLS AI – Microfinance Fund granted a loan of EUR 7 million to Chongho Bridge in July and was able to win it as a new partner institution as a new partner institution.
