Microinvest Moldova is the sixth largest financial institution outside the banking sector – with a clear focus on the financing of micro-entrepreneurs and agriculture (39 % and 35 % of outstanding loans respectively). The institution operates nationwide and serves over 14,000 customers through a network of 14 branches and 120 employees. A management change in 2015 improved the credit rating and risk management of the institute standard. The institute builds a close relationship with its customers before and during the loan term. It was certified by the SMART Campaign through measures to prevent over-indebtedness as well as transparent and fair pricing.
